Can I really learn to fly with the simulator?

If you practise with your transmitter in the simulator, you will save a lot of time and money. Not only you will learn quickly to fly RC without crashing, but you will also enjoy more the flights with the self-confidence gained at the simulator.

How do I connect my transmitter to the computer?

Very simple. AeroSIM RC includes a USB cable to connect your transmitter to the computer.

Does the USB cable work with other programs?

Yes. The USB cable presents the transmitter as a joystick to the computer, therefore it you can use your transmitter to control any software that works with a joystick.

Can I learn by myself with the simulator?

Calm down. The models in the simulator have been designed and tested by experts, they are correctly trimmed and do not present any drift during the flight. However, the first flight ofyour model in the real world should be performed by someone with experience in RC, who will know how to react in the probable case that the model shows a driftin flight. During this first flight, the experimented RC pilot will trim your model, and after a few adjustments, it's all yours!

I already have a simulator cable. Can I buy AeroSIM RC without the USB cable?

No, AeroSIM RC is only sold withits USB cable. The USB cable must be connected to the computer. Otherwise, the simulator will work for 2 minutes as a free demo.

Can I use a different USB Controller or a USB cable from other simulator?

Even thought the simulator can be evaluated for 2 minutes with any USB controller or joystick, the simulator is delivered with its own USB cable, and it will only work with a transmitter connected to the original USB cable. That is, it will not work with other USB controller or joystick. The USB acts as a dongle to prevent ilegal copies of the software.

The included USB cable supports up to 7 channels for extra functions such as landing gear, brakes, flaps, and FPV camera Pan and Tilt.

I have problems with my Transmitter

Some transmitters like Spektrum, Graupner, Hitec and Turnigy are a bit tricky. Readthe Special Instructions here

MAC Compatibility?

The MAC version is not supported directly from us. However, many MAC users have reported that AeroSIM RC runs fine in a MAC in several configurations.

For example, a MAC user has tested the simulator on four different Apple Mac with the USB interface. It worked fine on all, but only with Mac OS X Snowleopard. With the new Lion it didn't work.

Other MAC users have reported that the program runs fine in OS X (Lion) 10.7.1 + Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac + Windows 7 Ultimate on Mac Pro and MacBook.

It has also been successfully tested with Bootcamp (remember to install your original Mac OS install disk while running in Windows, in case of reduced performance)

Please, download the software and try it in your system to make sure.
