Aircraft Training Program

AeroSIM RC is designed as a Training aid for those who want to learn to pilot a RC model.
There is no prerequisite. The training is oriented to the beginner without any previous knowledge of RC.
The beginner will learn to control the model in the air, and also to take off, and land in one piece.
Nowadays a RC simulator plays a very important role during the starting stages of RC learning. A great help in acquiring most of the required skills. All this is possible since many hours of practise can be flown with no repair time or cost involved, without any stress, and by performing manoeuvres that would be risky for a beginner, such as dead stick landings, o flying an out-of-trim model.
AeroSIM RC's Training Program is based on the BMFA requirements for Certificate 'A' exam, and in the recommendations from experienced instructors who have taught many modellers what it takes to fly solo.
A few examples of the kind of exercises included in the training program.

The training begins with Control Familiarisation, by repeating the movements of a model.

The pilot experiences the reaction of the model to the controls by flying patterns through rings.

When the model is flying toward the pilot, the right and left are reversed.
This exercise helps develop this skill.

Landing is easier when viewed from behind the model.
However, by landing like this, the beginner learns precisely the model behaviour at landing.

Performing circles is good practise.

Figure of eight can be performed with the model flying towards the pilot in the cross-over of flying away from the pilot.

Taking off is not difficult, but it can be hard with an out-of-trim model.

Taxi practise
The syllabus is composed of 63 exercises classified in five subjects: Controls, Taxi, Take-off, Landing and Flight Patterns (i.e. circles, and eights)
The model used for the training is a high-wing trainer model with a size .40 engine.
The exercises are seasoned with left and right direction of flight, in order not to get used to only one direction, winds from calm to severe winds, and cross winds, camera viewpoints, and engine failures or out-of-trim models.
The Training Program guides you through the lessons in a predetermined order. If you fail several times a lesson, the training continues to the next lesson in the program. There can be a limited number of lessons pending, but at least you will not be frustrated with any particular lesson in case it takes more attempts before you acquire the skills to pass it.
The cheat button will unlock all lessons.
You can always practise again the lessons you have already passed.
When all lessons are completed you will receive a certificate.
